Important in our Archdiocese of San Antonio

This summer the San Pedro Playhouse intends to produce a controversial play that a number of San Antonio interfaith leaders consider ill-timed and offensive. The play is "Corpus Christi", written by Terrence McNally. A letter signed by nine leaders of the interfaith community was delivered to the San Pedro Playhouse last Thursday. In the letter they respectfully asked that the playhouse reconsider the production of this play because they felt it is "a profane and disrespectful depiction of Jesus Christ, who is the object of love and worship in a community whose religious roots run deep." ■ more info: http://archsa.org/txtfiles/attachment_301.pdf
